Western Power Distribution

WPD distributes power to homes and businesses across the Midlands, south Wales and the south West. 

The company delivers electricity to over 7.6 million customers over a 55,300 sq. kms service area on a network consisting of 216,000 kms of overhead lines and underground cables and 184,000 substations.

Prospect has over 1,500 members in a number of roles including team managers, engineering specialists, technicians, team support, planners.  Other unions negotiating in WPD are Unite, Unison and GMB.
