Vote YES to industrial action: Civil and public services ballot 2023   info
Prospect is balloting members in over 40 employers in Civil and Public Service areas. Members in these areas supported taking industrial action in online indicative ballots in late 2022. Legally we must now hold a postal ballot, where at least 50% of members must vote. This means it is vitally important that you vote in this ballot, regardless of whether you voted last year. We are urging you to vote YES to Industrial Action and YES to action short of a strike.

Race to be heard 2022 survey: Summary of findings   info
Written by Dr Jami Rogers for Bectu. The ‘Race to Be Heard’ survey was circulated to people working in film and television and received 353 responses. The questions were devised to understand members’ experiences primarily of two issues: racism in the workplace and the workplace mechanisms for reporting racism.

A report by Mazrcus Ryder for Bectu to assess whether there is underreporting of racism in British broadcasting. It will assess if current bodies and industry processes are capable of recording, monitoring and addressing racism in the industry, set out how a new complaints body might be able to address any gaps in tackling racism, and put forward three options for models of what a new complaints body would look like including its structure and responsibilities.
