National Nuclear Laboratory

Part of the British Nuclear Fuels Limited Group, NNL became a wholly owned subsidiary company on 1 April 2005.  In 1996 BNFL created a research and technology function to provide services to internal and external customers.  In 2003 the R&T function was relaunched as Nuclear Sciences & Technology Services.  In 2005 it was renamed Nexia Solutions Ltd.  Now managed by a  consortium made up of Serco, Battelle and The University of Manchester (SBM), it has sites at Sellafield, Preston, Workington, Daresbury, Harwell and Stonehouse.
