Ericsson Pay Ballot 2012 Result

Ericsson Pay Ballot 2012 Result

Thank you to all members who voted in the e-ballot on Ericsson's pay offer 2012. The ballot has now concluded.

Over the last weeks Prospect reps have attended team meetings, sent out communications and spoken to many members about the offer. We have also recruited new members and ex-members back into the union.

We asked members to reject the offer and do so overwhelmingly.

The results are as follows

Do you wish to accept or reject the offer?

Accept - 13.4%

Reject - 86.6%

Turnout - 77.9%

This represents an overwhelming and unambiguous rejection of the pay offer based on an extremely high turnout in a reasonably short balloting period. It shows clear support for the position that the union has taken.

As described in the pre-ballot communication to members, we will now approach Ericsson as a matter of urgency to share the results with them.

We will be ensuring that Ericsson understands the need to make an improved offer without delay given our preference, and we hope theirs, to reach a negotiated settlement that members can be re-balloted on.

Thanks again for taking part in the ballot and for showing your support for the union. We will make sure that members are kept up to date with developments.
