Although there was little in the way of detailed negotiation at this stage, we did establish that there will be a budget allocated for a pay review this year.
It is clear that despite the welcome departure from recent freezes on pay, discussions will inevitably be challenging as we seek to ensure a fair outcome for members.
We will be meeting HP again, at which time more detailed discussions will be possible.
We will also seek to clarify the position on bonus.
Any increases will be backdated to 1 February 2011.
