Prospect recognition at BAE Systems Shared Services, Glascoed

Prospect signs recognition deal with BAE Systems Shared Services, Glascoed

After many months of negotiations Prospect and BAE Systems' Shared Services business signed a recognition agreement covering staff at Glascoed, South Wales.

It relates to 120 people at the site who work within BAE’s financial services division providing support in areas of transactional finance, general accounting and reporting, compliance and international trade and shipping services.

Tony Hammond, Prospect negotiator, said: “It has been long, slow progress getting to this point but does show faith by BAE that Prospect are the right organisation to work with.”

Simon Bracchi, Prospect’s lead rep at Glascoed, has been working with colleagues over the past year to put in place a site representative structure. Work will now begin to secure a pay increase for 2015.

Hammond added: “Discussions with BAE have also commenced on extending the recognition arrangements to other parts of the Shared Services business where Prospect also have members.”
