The survey was developed with help from the heads of profession network. It is intended to provide evidence to inform the future development of the GSE community and help strengthen the role and status of scientists and engineers across government.
It is part of a wider GoScience review of the GSE profession, which Prospect supports and on which the union being consulted.
Prospect head of research Sue Ferns urged members in the relevant areas to complete the survey and consider joining the government scientists and engineers' network.
GSE is a self-nominating community which has over 3,000 members from more than 30 different government organisations.
