Welcome to the eBranch pages for the National Library of Scotland Branch of Prospect.
Prospect, a union with over 100,000 members, came into being on November 1, 2001, following the merger of IPMS (the Institution of Professionals, Managers and Specialists) and EMA (the Engineers and Managers' Association). It represents professionals, managers and specialists in the public and private sectors.
Within the Library Prospect is mainly, though by no means exclusively, the union for curatorial grades of staff.
