Sellafield Limited

From 1 April 2016 Sellafield Ltd is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and run by the Sellafield management team.

The company has sites at Sellafield in Cumbria and Capenhurst in Cheshire, as well as an extensive engineering design capability based at Risley in Warrington.

Sellafield has the largest concentration of nuclear expertise in Europe, with over 50 years of experience. It's proud heritage also includes the development of the world's first commercial nuclear power station, Calder Hall.

Prospect has over 4,300 members employed by Sellafield Ltd and is the largest union. We have sole single table negotiations for all staff grades. Unite and GMB negotiate for industrial grades.
