Government Actuary's Department

The Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) is responsible for providing actuarial advice to public sector clients.

Prospect is the single Union recognised by GAD, and represents staff across all grades, including members employed in Actuarial Pay Bands 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1. Senior Actuarial Technician Pay Band, Technician Grades, 4, 3, 2 and 1, Senior Actuarial Trainees, Junior Actuarial Trainees, and generalist grades AA to Grade 6.

Members are mainly based in London, with a small number based in the Edinburgh Office.
