A staggering 151,801 people have so far signed a petition opposing the government's plans to sell off England's forests to the highest bidder. It is the third time in 30 years that the government has tried to sell off Forestry Commission land. Please sign the petition and send the link to all your colleagues and friends.

The petition is strongly backed by Prospect's Forestry Commission branch and hosted by umbrella campaigning organisation 38 Degrees, which also has a link to the very wide ranging press coverage this issue has received, and a map of some of the forests at risk.
