Prospect represents staff working in many different roles at the airline Flybe. The airline put itself up for sale last year. 

Garry Graham, deputy general secretary of Prospect union, said:

“As the major union representing staff at Flybe the news of this takeover and fresh investment in the airline is welcome.

“Flybe provides important connectivity to many of our smaller and regional airports, and this will be mean the skills and expertise of our members can be maintained supporting communities right around the country. 

“We hope this takeover will now end any uncertainty for hard-working Flybe staff and lead to a period of stability.

“Any takeover can also bring some challenges and we will continue to represent our members working for Flybe and stand up for them.”
