Prospect has responded to an announcement today by Flybe about the closure of bases and changes to jet operations. This announcement by the company has also coincided with the cancellation of some Flybe services today.

Matt Sperring, Prospect Negotiations Officer said:

"Prospect is saddened to hear of the impact that these recent developments have had on Flybe's customers.

"Any Prospect members who are affected by the decisions announcement today to reduce and remove some services, primarily with its jet fleet, will get the full support of the union.

"And Prospect will also seek to ensure that Flybe upholds its promise to minimise job losses."
