Finance job family changes

Following detailed discussions with Prospect, BT has announced changes to the Finance Reward Framework job family.



The job family is being simplified moving from five to one single discipline with the introduction of new roles at senior Band 2 and Band 3 levels.

For individuals in Band 1 and the Finance Manager role at Band 2 everyone will lift and shift into the new single pay ranges from 1 October. Many people within this group will see an increase in their pay range as a result. The old and new pay ranges are available here

At Senior Finance manager and above, new roles have been introduced and all current roles at this level and above have been remapped into those new roles reflecting the size and complexity of the job. Individuals will be told the outcome of this mapping exercise shortly and there will be an appeal process. The standard RF terms for protection of salary and benefits will apply to those adversely affected. The Bonus transfer allowance will also apply if there is a change in % on target bonus (OTB) level.

As well as a new reward structure, BT has also launched a series of initiatives to support learning and development across the Finance community. This is very welcome and includes a new CIMA accredited learning pathway, Finance apprenticeships and a mentoring programme.
