Prospect's networks are informal groups of members with a common interest. We share information with them, and consult them on relevant issues. There are no commitments in belonging to a network; they’re a chance for you to get involved in the union without becoming a formal representative.

Our BAME network is for members to share experiences, build relationships with allies and get access to information and resources about the different forms of racism people experience in the workplace. You will receive information, updates and invites to events that specifically relate to equality and race. Your views and suggestions will also be fed into Prospect’s Equal Opportunities Advisory Committee to ensure we are listening to and involving our BAME members.

The environment network is a contact point for those with expertise or an interest in environmental issues who want to engage with management on sustainable development. It provides support for workplace environment champions, workplace activities, training, events and an opportunity to contribute to policy submissions.
The LGBT+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) network aims to bring our LGBT+ members together to share common issues and thoughts in a safe space; work together to ensure that LGBT+ issues are represented at a branch and employer level; and work to bring greater equality to Prospect and our workplaces.

A forum for members 35 and under to meet others of the same age, exchange information on issues of common interest and be active on campaigns. Regional groups are being set up which will link into TUC youth forums. Members aged 35 and below automatically belong to the network; you can opt out if you wish.
