The Sellafield Ltd (K280) Branch of Prospect union was formed in April 2009, it currently has over 5,000 members spread across the Company's sites.
Prospect is active on all of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and former BNFL Companies sites and is the only trade union recognised by Sellafield Ltd management to represent the interests of former non-industrial staff grades throughout the Sellafield Ltd. Our employer is supportive of trade union membership for its employees and it is keen that members should take an active part in their union.
The Branch is actively involved in discussions and negotiations with management on issues from Pensions, Pay and Conditions, Health & Safety, Performance Management, Annual Leave, Working Hours, Maternity/Paternity rights etc indeed all areas of employment matters.
Many members turn to Prospect for support in dealing with individual problems within the workplace and we provide assistance and representation to many of our members during a year. Local Branch Representatives deal with most personal cases, supported and advised by Branch Officers as well as Prospect National Fulltime Officers were appropriate.
Prospect exists to support you and to represent your interests, but we can only do that if you are a member.
Members of the Branch automatically get access to our full eBranch content when they log into the Prospect national site. This will include branch information, reports on other Prospect activities, who your local representatives are and how to contact them.
