CABI is a not-for-profit science-based development and information organization. They improve people’s lives by providing information and applying scientific expertise to solve problems in agriculture and the environment. CABI helps address the challenges of food security by helping farmers grow more and lose less. They do this by improving crop yields, safeguarding the environment and improving access to agricultural and environmental scientific knowledge.
CABI’s mission and direction is influenced by member countries who help guide the activities undertaken. These include scientific publishing, development projects and research, and microbial services.
The Branch representatives and members are served by Prospect's Chertsey Office. Through their Negotiations Officer, they have access to the full range of legal, research and administrative support that Prospect has to offer.
Prospect is formally recognised for collective bargaining and local and full time representatives meet with the employer on a regular basis.
