Branch H220: National Trust

National Trust

Prospect is the recognised trade union for all employees of the National Trust which means that Prospect representatives, elected by you, negotiate on things like pay, terms and conditions of service and change, as well as providing individual support to members.

The overriding aim of Prospect is to achieve fairness for all employees, irrespective of grade, whilst in employment.

There is an active local committee and representatives you can speak to. We have a good record of effective consultation and negotiation with the organisation at national, regional and local level. There is a support network of representatives across the Trust.

Prospect is the independent voice for all employees at the National Trust.

Branch news

Prospect has negotiated protection for flexible hour contract staff in the National Trust.

Prospect is balloting members in the National Trust on the organisation’s proposals around furloughing staff and radically revising the pay award for 2020.

Yesterday the Irish Congress of Trade Unions took the decision to close their office in Belfast for a period of two weeks from Monday 16th March, as a result of the ongoing issues with the spread of the Covid-19 virus. As Prospect's Belfast is located in the ICTU Office this effectively means the Prospect Office will also close.
