The National Archives
The National Archives is the UK government's official archive, containing over 1,000 years of history. The Archive gives detailed guidance to government departments and the public sector on information management and advise others about the care of historical archives. Its 21st-century role is to collect and secure the future of the record, both digital and physical, to preserve it for generations to come, and to make it as accessible and available as possible.
Prospect represents a very wide range of specialist and professional staff within The National Archive including Conservators, Managers, Resource Officers, Volunteers and Consultants. We are a recognised trade union and negotiate on behalf of members on all matters such as Pay and terms and Conditions, as well as providing individual representation and advice when required.
