Branch F025: Museum Of London

Museum Of London

The Museum of London Branch is for members who work at the Museum of London at the London Wall site and at the Museum in Docklands. These two institutions are co-funded by the Greater London Authority (GLA) and the Corporation of London, and are located near the Barbican and Canary Wharf respectively. The Museum of London focuses on the social history of London, including politics and popular culture, whilst the Museum in Docklands has a remit to highlight the history of the former London Docks area, including the impact on local workers, environment and London culture.

Prospect is the only formally recognised trade union in the Museum of London group and negotiates on all collective bargaining matters including pay and conditions of service, as well as representing members in individual cases. We represent the full of range of staff at the Museum including conservation and curatorial staff, design and development and marketing specialists, visitor hosts, and all other staff employed within the Museum.

We have a lively Prospect group of Representatives who actively engage and represent members on a daily basis.  If you would like to get involved and join in that important work too, we would love to hear from you. Contact us via enquires@prospect.org.uk
