Ballot results from other UKPN unions are expected shortly. If all unions vote in favour, then the Company will implement the pay awards with salary payments at the end of August 2016.
The offers cover the Staff Group and Professional, Managerial & Supervisory Group and provide a 2.1% increase on 1 April 2016 followed by increases of RPI plus 0.5% in 2017 and 2018. The PMS pay award also includes significant shortening of pay scales, to be completed over a number of years.
The ballot results do not mean that discussions between Prospect and UKPN over pay and conditions will now cease for the next three years. Further harmonisation remains a union objective and we will continue to pursue improvements in pay and conditions for a members going forward.
New members can join the union online at https://www.prospect.org.uk/becoming_a_member_or_rep/join/onlineapplication
