Prospect and Steria have met to commence negotiations around the annual pay review for MPG and PCG grades who transferred from BT 10 years ago.

The union reiterated its pay claim and reminded the company of the strong disappointment when last year’s pay was frozen and of members’ contribution to the company’s success in meeting its targets this year. We also raised with the company concerns by  members outside of the CBU  who had joined the union from elsewhere in the business including those based in Warrington engaged in computer support.

Steria confirmed that the company had authorised a pay award this year, but indicated it would not be able to meet our expectations of a pay budget that maintains the cost of living. Steria has confirmed that whilst the pay award will be delayed it will be backdated to the normal review date of April 1st 2012.

A further meeting is being arranged to clarify the company’s response to our claim. We will continue to update members.
