Web launch for Prospect's pensions campaign

Today Prospect launches a new area of the website as part of its campaign against the government's attack on public service pensions.

The Pensions Justice pages will feature news reports, updates on preparations for the 30 November ballot and links to a range of resource material for members and reps in the run-up to the ballot.

New material going on the site today includes a 4-page A5 leaflet making the case for a ‘Yes' vote in the ballot on industrial action and a printer-friendly version.

The leaflet will be included in the mailing to members containing the ballot papers but is being published now as a PDF for use before 24 October.

Other material includes suggested actions for members and reps to take with MPs and in the consultation exercise, as published in Profile 5/11 for October; and messages from Paul Noon, general secretary; John Streeter, president of the civil service sector; and Dai Hudd, secretary to the sector.

Tomorrow a Q&A brief will be put on the site to give answers to some of the most common questions surrounding the dispute over pensions.
